Joining Procedure for Each of the Below Category

1. This is a one-page application form from any State Association of Publishers & Booksellers located in different States of India for membership of FPBAI. This application needs to be filled and submitted in Federation Office along with the requisite fee mentioned therein. The application is then put up to the Chairman, Membership, Subscription & Screening Committee, for approval. If the application is approved, a letter is sent to the concerned Association intimating that their application has been approved and the Association stands affiliated to the Federation.

2. This is a  Application form for Membership of FPBAI. This form needs to be filled by any firm, located across India, and dealing in book publishing and book selling. This application needs to be proposed and seconded by two existing members of FPBAI who must have paid their Annual Subscription for the current financial year, or recommended by any of its affiliated Associations) and submitted, in original, in the Federation Office along with the requisite fee mentioned therein. The completely filled in application is then put up to the Chairman, Membership, Subscription & Screening Committee for screening. If the application is found OK in all respects, the same is placed before the Executive Committee meeting for approval. If approved, and the firm has been enrolled as a member of the Federation.
3. This application is for enrolment as an Approved subscription Agent from any firm, located across India, and dealing in Journals. The application, along with the requisite documents and fee, as mentioned therein, needs to be submitted to the Good Offices Committee. Good Offices Committee is a voluntary organization formed to establish uniform terms of books supplies to libraries, and to ensure a fair working margin to booksellers and an efficient service to the libraries. This Committee is functioning under the aegis of The Federation of Publishers’ & Booksellers’ Associations in India (FPBAI) for the last very many years. Hence, before an Application for Enrolment as an Approved Subscription Agent is considered, it is essential for the applicant firm to enroll itself as a Member of FPBAI. The completely filled in application is put up to the Chairman, GOC Committee for approval. If the application is approved,   their name shall appear in the list of Approved Subscription Agent in the next issue of monthly GOC Circular issued by GOC.
